Interested in becoming a Chaddah Company Dancer?
The Chaddah Dance Company began in 1998. The Company is made up of highly skilled, technically exceptional dancers that are hand selected by professional judges during the Encounters of Hope auditions. It is expected that the dancers have had the requisite years of training in technique, choreography and show production (eligibility requirements are set out below). After being selected and joining the Company, the dancers will receive hundreds of hours of performance-related training and practice time as well as many additional hours to become equipped tactically and spiritually. Through intentional mentoring and teaching, the dancers learn about the criminal enterprise of trafficking, the threat to victims and society and how they can minister to others through acts of love, including outreach, public speaking and field work related to rescue operations.
We acknowledge that the Lord desires our very best. As dancers, and more importantly as followers of Christ, we want to honor that through excellence. As a company dancer much is required. In the several months leading up to the Encounters of Hope touring season, these dancers will maintain their weekly schedules of teaching and taking technique classes. Additionally, they will also invest time with instructors and each other for deep spiritual training, worship, devotional time and digging into the Bible. On the weekends, the dancers will invest their time with each other to learn choreography and rehearse, aiming for excellence, to make an impact to the glory of the Lord.
Over the years, Chaddah has had the opportunity to travel across the United States to bring awareness of human trafficking, give a voice to the voiceless victims and share the hope of Jesus. We have been blessed by the community of current and past Company members, leaders, teachers, supporters, families, and other anti-trafficking organizations across the country that have joined Chaddah in the fight. We are happy to share and for you to share this information about Chaddah and the Encounters of Hope program with your friends and family.
When the Chaddah Spring 2021 Tour completed, it was an amazing experience as the Company was able to make an impact and share the Hope of Jesus. The Tour included opportunities to minister with Encounters of Hope in Nevada, #1 worst state for human trafficking, Florida (#3) and Michigan (#10). In Las Vegas, we were blessed to not only perform Encounters of Hope in an international school and casino, but also to train and work in field operations with the leading human trafficking rescue organizations SERT Ministries, F.R.E.E. International and Called2Rescue. You can learn more about the Vegas efforts in “The Big Search 2021” here.
In Florida, Chaddah performed at the Saenger Theater and brought in local partners that provide restorative services and safe houses for survivors. Our final performance was our third consecutive season traveling to Michigan as we were invited to join Glory House International in Saginaw, Michigan and support another partner, One Until Everyone.
